*This giveaway is closed, but the recipe is still divine!
I love rich, silky chocolate. I also love brownies. And, well, sprinkles are my soul mate, so can someone please tell me how I never thought to marry them into one delightful and decadent bar before? It all makes so much sense, but yet, somehow, it never dawned on me.
So there I was, poring over every single recipe in the new book, Taste of Home Baking, All NEW Edition: 725+ Recipes & Variations from Classics to Best Loved!, and there it was: a recipe for Chocolate-Dipped Brownies. Needless to say I sashayed to the kitchen to whip these up, and although I wasn’t surprised, they tasted a good as I suspected they would. The reason I really enjoy this baking book so much, is because it’s made up seemingly endless (I think it’s almost 800!) recipes that have been contributed by home-bakers all over North America (I even spotted a recipe from a woman in Kitchener, Ontario, my home town, which I found very exciting for some reason). That aside, every single recipe in the book has been tested in the Taste of Home test kitchen, so there’s this comfort of knowing that the recipes are reliable and trusted.
*The sweetest gifts: From coffee cakes to cookies, Taste of Home Baking: All-New Edition offers dozens of home-baked gift ideas, and the book itself makes a valuable holiday gift; it comes with a free year subscription to Taste of Home (within the U.S.)
* Trimmed-down favorites, specially designed for health-conscious readers or those who have food allergies, such as gluten-free options.
* Troubleshooting tips that can help any home baker turn exasperation into elation, including step-by-step photos.
*These are down-to-earth recipes that will warm the hearts of families who know the simple pleasure of gathering around the kitchen table for fresh-from-the-oven happiness.
Because I have a real thing for family recipes and comfort baking, I really connected with the whole concept of this book and, of course can’t help but feel the need to bake everything in it! The even better news is that the sweet folks from Taste of Home have generously provided me with a copy of this beautiful book to give away to one lucky reader (it also comes along with a year subscription to their Taste of Home magazine.). Some of the recipes that leapt off the pages (and are on my to-make list) are the Hot Milk Cake, Caramel Butter Cake, Peanut Butter Truffle Cupcakes, Candy Bar Meringue Torte (just to name a few) and, of course, these Chocolate-Dipped Brownies.
I found these to be a great make-with-the-kids treat, which always means a lot to me. They don’t even require an electric mixer, which is always a welcomed change. Reese was at school the morning we made these, but little Neve and I had a great time making them together (don’t worry, Reese got her taste test in after school!). I had Neve on sprinkle duty and, as you can probably bet, she didn’t mind.
What is it about sprinkles that make life that much better?
The same goes for cute little cakelets.
An official Sprinkle Sprinkler–imagine if that was a paying gig? Sign me up.
I’m thinking these would be a nice addition to a Halloween party dessert table or to give away to close neighbours, friends and family as homemade Halloween treats. They would also, of course, be a nice addition to pretty much any day of the year.

Chocolate-Dipped Brownies {click to print}
From Taste of Home Baking, All NEW Edition: 725+ Recipes & Variations from Classics to Best Loved!, contributed by Jackie Archer, Clinton, Iowa
Yield: 24 bars (1″ x 2.5″)
Ingredients
3/4 cup (150 g/5 oz) sugar
1/3 cup butter (75 g/2.5 oz), cubed
2 tablespoons (30 mL) water
4 cups (685 g/24 oz) semisweet chocolate chips, divided (I used premium chocolate for 2 cups dipping portion) — Callebaut Dark Callets 53.8 % (2 lb)
1 teaspoon (5 mL) vanilla extract
2 eggs
3/4 cup (100 g) all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) salt
1/4 teaspoon (1.25 mL) baking soda
2 tablespoons (30 mL) shortening
Chopped pecans, jimmies, and/or nonpareils (optional)
Method
1. In a large saucepan, bring the sugar, butter, and water to a boil over medium heat. Remove from the heat; stir in 1 cup of chocolate chip and vanilla until smooth. Cool for 5 minutes.
2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda; stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips. Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
3. Bake at 325°F for 35 minutes or until set (see my note below). Cool completely on a wire rack. Place in the freezer for 30-40 minutes or until firm (do not freeze completely). Cut into bars.
4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt remaining chips with shortening; stir until smooth. Using a small fork, dip brownies to completely coat; shake off excess. Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Sprinkle with pecan, jimmies and/or nonpareils. Let stand until set. Store in an airtight container.
*Dipping Bars in Chocolate
* Melt the chocolate chips, baking chocolate or candy coating according to recipe directions. If necessary, transfer chocolate to a narrow container.
* To cover an entire bar in chocolate, use two forks to dip the bar into the chocolate and lift up. Gently shake the bar to remove excess chocolate. Place on a waxed-paper lined baking sheet to set at room temperature.
* If the chocolate cools too much to the bars properly, rewarm and continue dipping.
Sweetapolita’s Notes:
- For easy removal of the baked brownie, I grease the pan and then line with parchment paper with an inch or so of overhang. Once brownies are cool and have been in the freezer for the 30 minutes, I then remove from pan using parchment overhang and place brownie on cutting board for clean and easy cutting.
- Because this recipe calls for so much chocolate, I used standard chocolate chips for the brownie and premium chocolate for the dipping (I use semisweet Callebaut Dark Callets 53.8 % (2 lb)
)
- I tend to like my brownies a little less cakey and bake them for less time than more, so I baked mine for 25 minutes (remove as soon as the top starts to crackle).
- I cut the brownies into 1″ x 2.5″ bars before dipping.
- I didn’t have shortening on hand, so I used 1 tablespoon of white corn syrup in its place.
Good luck & enjoy!
Gorgeous, Rosie! I love anything baked… but If I had to narrow it down to just one thing, I think Brownies just might take it…
One of my favourite sweet treats (since it’s not actually baked) is nanaimo bars. Mmmmm.
Oh goodness…pick a favorite baked good? I can narrow it down to two choices: biscuits with chocolate gravy and cake. Within the cake category, at this point I think the win goes to Italian Cream Cake, which I get to enjoy again this weekend!
Oh, wow! My hubby grew up on biscuits and chocolate gravy, and has (thankfully) shared it with me and my family, too! So many times I get odd looks when I tell people about it!
My favorite baked goods of all time are breads! For sweets I love peanut butter cookies.
It depends on my mood but right now I am loving brownies:-)
I adore your recipes and website! For years I was firmly Team Pie, but I’ve slowly moved toward Team Cake. I would say my favorite cake is anything full of flavor with a moist texture. And real buttercream :)
I love muffins, especially chocolate chip bran!
first time posting! can’t pass up a give-away. I think my favourite baked good is German plum cake (at least right now). And hi from Waterloo! love that you grew up here.
I love anything with chocolate, including my favorite a chocolate souffle
I love everything baked, but right now it’s pumpkin nutella muffins!
I’m a brownie lover too. Love love a good chewy brownie. Yum. I also love lemon. I have a family recipe for Starburst Lemon bars that is to die for. Yum!
Thanks!
These look delicious! My favorite baked good changes regularly. Right now I’m really loving chocolate zucchini muffins!
Cookies are my happy comfort baking – I don’t need recipes and I can do tons of things with them. I have a particular soft spot for oatmeal-pecan-chocolate chip.
I tweeted the link! (@dancerbakes)
And I shared the post on Facebook :)
I tweeted this giveaway!
Oh man – what a tough question. I’m a huge baked goods fan! I recently rediscovered one of my favorites, an oatmeal hurricane cake. delish!
I also shared on facebook! :)
p.s. Super-cute cakelet. And I adore her little apron; where in the world did you find that?
My favourite baked good has to be anything from Nadege Patisserie in Toronto. They have the most lovely cakes, tarts and sandwiches (they bake the buns themselves every morning!) As for baking at home, I can’t get enough of banana bread.
Chocolate Stout Cake is without a doubt my favorite baked good!
Favorite! Impossible. Okay, maybe not. Gingerbread cake. I could eat a whole one. Shocking that my favorite thing doesn’t have any chocolate in it (although a chocolate gingerbread cake is pretty good…) as I am a chocoholic.
Just one? I can’t chose just one! It’s a toss up between butter tarts and nanaimo bars!!
I am all about lemon bars. So delicious!
These brownies look so good (as does everything you make). My favorite baked item would be Red Velvet Cupcakes…they are my weakness, can’t resist them.
my favorite baked good is carrot cake – i just LOVE it!
Oh, and I shared your link on facebook.
Vanilla cake, with vanilla buttercream. Especially if it’s in the form of cupcakes. I don’t know what it is about cupcakes, but I adore them.
My favorite baked good is vanilla cupcakes!
Hmm, favourite baked good, that’s tough, but I would have to say cheesecake! Thank you for this latest post, Rosie, and for the chance to win this book. I don’t actually have a standmixer, so it would be perfect! I also reposted the link on my facebook. :-)
One of my favorite recipes would have to be my German Chocolate Cookie.
It’s a tie–somewhere in the war between brownies and carrot cake, there is paradise. Both should be moist, rich, and made in the kitchen of someone happy.
My favorite baked good is chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Every year for my birthday I always request that for my cake.
My favorite thing to bake are cupcakes (with SMBC vanilla frosting)! Your recipes have been my go-to!
I shared the link to your contest on Facebook!

Chocolate candy cane cake
These look amazing! I have an amazing recipe for ginger snaps that I always make around the holidays :)
Just one favorite? Just one??? Such a tough choice but I’d have to go with classic moist chocolate devil’s food cake with dark chocolate & hazelnut ganache filling and white chocoloate ganache frosting – it was my wedding cake! Of course we had fruit pies & ice cream too so I didn’t have to choose just one that day…because pie & ice cream would be a close call as #2.
my fav thing would have to be brownies, dark fudgey chocolatey brownies or vanilla cake. i love the sprinkle brownies! i think i may just have to make these ;)
It’s so hard to pick one favorite but if I have to right at this moment it would be Salted Caramel Ice Cream.
My mom makes this awesome chocolate sour cream cake with a thick layer of fudge frosting. It is divine!
I love most cakes, cookies, pies and buns but one of my alltime favorites are a Swedish cookie called Havreflarn. They are easy and quick to make and taste absolutely fantastic!

Cinnamon rolls have always been my favorite!
Picking one favorite baked good is so hard to do… I love so many!! But if I had to pick an ultimate favorite it would have to be cupcakes :-)
These chocolate covered brownies look lovely!!! Picking only one baked treat as my favorite seems really impossible, but…I can never seem to turn down a batch of chocolate chunk cookies, especially if they’ve just come out of the oven.
bake everything with chocolate !! that’s my favorite :) *ooooh.. cakelet is so cuteeeee…i love her apron too
Well the sweet that first turned me onto learning how to bake was cheesecake, so I would have to say that is my favorite baked good, but some good ole classic cookies are always great too!
Favorite baked treat…. pumpkin cookies with Brown butter icing! YUm!
Rosie, I just shared this giveaway on Twitter and Facebook!! I love anything baked, but, If I have to choose…maybe pound or bundt cakes!!! I can not wait to try your Pound cake with Nutella swirl and mocha glaze…looks so yummy!!
lots of kisses (sweet kisses!!)
My favorite baked good is my daughter’s favorite dessert in the world, my Espresso Brownies. A batch of those always brings a smile to her face and that makes me happy! xo
Favorite baked good? As I understand this is probably as hard as asking a parent their favorite kid. Um, chocolate? Is that an answer? Probably brownies, but I’m not opposed to a good dark chocolate cake either.
My favorite baked good is anything chocolate & peanut butter!
I always knew brownies were my weakness and see it even pushes me to comment right now…a warm walnut brownie with scoop of vanilla ice cream and I’m done!! And yes tweeted it too!
Told friends on facebook!

These look outrageous!! I would have to say my fav dessert is cake… Wait, cookies.. No, cake… Ahhh, I can’t decide!!

I told my Facebook friends, and I hope each & every one of them come to this site. Your little helper is precious…
Hello from Northern Ontario Rosie!
I’m a first time poster but have been haunting this Blog for months and months… I get excited every time there’s a new post! Your work is decidedly delightful and decadently delicious!
I’m a fan of baking and any and all things home baked (although my *ample* bottom is not…) but my favorite right now would have to be my mom’s chewy ginger molasses cookies. Not just for the heavenly ginger flavour, but because they infuse the house with the smell of yummy, and put you in mind of holidays as a kid. Mmmmmmm!!
Happy baking! :)
Shared on facebook too!!! Yum!
I’d have to say my favourite baked good is butterscotch pie. I’m always getting my mom to whip one up for me!
I am also featuring a giveaway on my blog if you want to check it out :)
I absolutely adore birthday cake with buttercream frosting. Any time someone in my family had a birthday, my parents would buy a bigger cake than we needed so that I could have the leftovers! Now I make my own cakes so I can have it any time!
I can’t think of a single baked good that will ever sound better to me than brownies with raspberries in them, unless I want some filled peanut butter of course.
My FAVORITE baked good is creme brulee!
I love baked goods too much to have a favourite. If there’s sugar, butter, and flour in it (and of course, chocolate!) I’m a goner.
I love pie. All kinds, but something with a flaky, pastry crust. YUM. :) Thank you for the giveaway!
My mother’s lemon merengue pie, it’s tart and zesty and buttery-crust delicious till the last bite!
Hey Rosie –
i <3 your blog! :) I want to make every cake on here… twice! Plus you have the best SMB recipe I've seen, so thank you! :)
wow, favourite baked good? um um um um ummmm… It was always choc-chip cookies… but now I'd say it'd have to be dark chocolate cake with raspberry or salted caramel SMB. (with extra salted caramel sauce :) )
Also, I shared on FB.

These look so fun and easy to make!
My favorite baked good has got to be a meringue; crispy, chewy, yummy and not too rich! I could eat 100 in just one sitting

My favorite would be cupcakes, I just like making all different flavours of sweet things that are small and I can share with everyone.
My favorite baked good….probably 7 layer magic bars, which just barely fall in to the baked category…but they ARE magically delicious, dangit! :-)
Chocolate cake is my all time favorite.
Well the favorite Fall Baking is always the Ooey Gooey Pumpkin cake but I’ve been obsessed with cupcakes and the variety!
My favorite baked good is probably lemon tart. They are SO yummy, and SO easy, and always crowd-pleasing!
Hi Rosie,
I’ve been poring over your site for months now, to the point of my boyfriend saying, “she’s got a life, she isn’t going to update every minute!” ( I’m not sure why he’s worrying- he benefits most from my baking stress-relief!)
I can’t pick a favourite treat for myself, but as good food is meant to be shared, anything that I can pass on to friends is fun to make (and keep me from eating all of it)! Most recently I’ve been making your dark chocolate cake with whipped vanilla buttercream icing as cupcakes (for a friend’s first baby shower).
Thanks for the inspiration!
Hmmmmm, my favourite baked good would have to be chocolate chip banana bread :)
The link has now been shared on my Facebook page!
I love, in equal parts, brownies and really citrusy desserts. I prefer assertive, knock-you-over flavours to subtle ones. I honestly don’t think that says anything about me.
The best brownies ever! Yum! Cookies are my obsession-always:)
Oh, these look so decadent! Favorite baked good, how can I choose just one? I’ll say Red Velvet Cake (yum!)
My favorite baked good… pumpkin pie, pumpkin bars, pumpkin bread or anything pumpkin related!

I would love to be an official Sprinkle Sprinkler, my favorite dessert is strawberry shortcake and I’ve posted a link on my FB page.
HOWEVER, I respectfully disqualify myself. : )

Chocolate Caramel Slice with fleur de sel sprinkled on top!
Eww hard decision I have so many favorite baked goods.

I LOVE ANY Desserts! guess my fav baked dessert depends on my mood…right now- BROWNIES with Choc Ganache@!

I LOVE baking – nothing brightens up my day more, except maybe giving away what I bake!! I make huge cookie trays at Christmas after days upon days of baking! I like trying new things, and one of my new favorites is Prince William’s Grooms Cake – chocolate biscuit cake! I even buy the English biscuits from amazon. It is simple but so so good!
One favorite? Really? Is that possible? I’ll say my favorite this week is pumpkin coffee cake.
Red velvet cake balls!
Peanut butter chocolate cookies!
I am not sure how to choose just one favorite. I really love cake and cupcakes, but good fudgy brownies are pretty awesome too. I think that we have certain baked goods for certain times of our lives. I have a certain chocolate cake with a custard filling that I make for my husband’s birthday, he makes a divine carrot cake for my birthday, and they are all my ‘favorite’ for that particular event.
Brownies of course!
Right now I would say my favorite baked good is ginger rhubarb pie.
MY FAVE BAKED GOOD IS NOW CHOCOLATE DIPPED BROWNIES! MMMMMM
It’s always so impossible to decide what my favorite baked good is on any given day, but after reading this post, what I want most right now is a warm gooey fudgy brownie buried in vanilla bean ice cream and dripping with hot fudge. Oh yeah, and whipped cream. Did I mention that. Must have brownie. Immediately.
Cupcakes are, by far, my favorite!!

Brownies!! Warm with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. YUMMY!
Okay, this is a no brainer. I too love brownies, but layer cakes take the…well…cake :) Beautitul, tall, impress the heck out of everybody cakes LOL…
oh wow! I made some little chocolate coated brownies a while ago, in fact it was for valentines day so they were cut out with heart cookie cutters and they went down a treat! My favourite treat though, would have to be a good-come-back-forsevenths-cookie. The crunchy kind, heading towards a biscotti, with chocolate chips and some chewy dates, currents on cranberries thrown in the mix…. of god, I shouldn’t be at work, I should be in my kitchen baking those cookies! But to bake for others I love cupcakes as they’re always so appreciated and make people smile!
Facebooked too :)
Love your website Rosie! You inspire me :) My favourite sweet treat would have to be White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies…keep up the good work!

My favorite baked good is eclairs! Closely followed by gooey chocolate chip cookies, although these browie do look good!
I have an AMAZING recipe for oatmeal raisin cookies which is too dangerous to make because I might eat the whole batch. I’d have to say those are my favorite :) though they certainly aren’t as beautiful as your cakes!
Hi Rosie! I’ve just discovered the world of baking sooooo… I probably have a thousand NEW favorites I just don’t know I adore yet. But my favorite for most of my life has been Pecan Pie. I would completely skip turkey at Thanksgiving and just have Pecan Pie.

My favorite desserts are Linzertorts. It was my nickname when I was little:)

Butter Tarts…I think one year I gained 10lbs on those alone (my husband called it the Butter Tart Christmas). I just can’t resist them straight out of the freezer so now I cannot even make them until Christmas Eve!
Just tweeted for you Rosie! I think I might make these for my dessert table next Tuesday. I love it when I have an event to try new recipes.
Chocolate sheet cake! Which I just had today for my birthday! My dad baked it for me :)
hi rosie! im such a huge fan of your blog and i love that you have your little girls help you bake all of the time:-) my little one is two and she is already super excited about “helping mommy bake”. my favorite dessert is definitely chocolate peanut butter cupcakes…i just cant seem to resist them:-)
FAVORITE BAKING GOODS OF ALL TIME IS RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE COOKIES…..I TRIED THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME A FEW WEEKS AGO AND JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH THEM …..AND THESE BROWNIES OF YOURS LOOK FANTASTIC AND CANT WAIT TO MAKE THEM :-)
I absolutely adore Taste of Home. I always buy their baking magazines and tag like a million recipes. I never have time to bake them all, so I have all of these recipes from their magazines and website stacked upon one another, I think I’m a little too addicted.
My favorite baked good of all time is just a plain, classic, chocolate chip cookie (no nuts). I haven’t found /my/ perfect recipe yet, but I do enjoy eating my fair share of those little buggers. :P
JUST ONE?? well… I’d have to say I love a good old-fashioned apple pie with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream! Especially around this time of year :) These brownies look delish, and your littlest cakelet is adorable as always!
BriJGon twitted the give away!
I tweeted :]
Facebook HAS IT!
annnnd I shared with Facebook! thank you for a chance at winning this wonderful cookbook.. it looks fantastic.
To pick just one baked good… I was having a hard time at first (bread, cookies, cake, cheesecake… I really like them all) but, I think I can choose cinnamon rolls!! There is something about them that I just love ^__^
Any cookie my dh bakes is my fav but if I’m doing the baking it’s Hello Dolly Bars.
Cupcakes. I love them and it’s so hard for me not to go into a cupcake store when I pass one. My goal for the next 12 months (when school is not keeping me super busy) is to bake more of them and start experimenting with flavors. Once I eventually get a stand mixer I’m going to try the Swiss Meringue Butter Cream frosting/icing.
I’d like to choose “all of the above” for my favorite baked good. That’s an impossible question to answer! If I had to choose though, today I’d say m&m chocolate chip cookies, I love a splash of color!
I am pretty simple. Nothing can beat a good old fashioned brownie fresh from the oven.
I love chocolate cupcakes or cake. Particularly with a cheesecake filling or frosting!
These brownies look divine! I’d LOVE to have a copy of this book and the mag subscription. My favorite baked good would either have to be brownies or cookies, and if I really have to narrow it down, I love black & white cookies, snickerdoodles, and fudgy brownie-like cookies. It’s too hard to choose!
What a fun brownie idea! I would have to say one of my favorite baked dessert is one from my mother’s kitchen. Marionberry pie with homemade vanilla ice cream. I grew up on a marionberry farm in Oregon, and have had innumerable berries, but I don’t think I will ever turn down a warm piece of marionberry pie!
I linked your blog on Facebook too!
Rosie, when is your cookbook coming out?? My fave baked treat is probably creme brûlée, does that count? Followed closely by baklava.
My favorite baked good is Bread Pudding! amazing
These look delicious!
My favorite baked good has to be chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. Simple, yet delicious.
These look awesome! My favorite is chocolate cake with chocolate icing, or cookies, any cookies!! Yum
Picking your favorite baked good is like picking your favorite child. I love brownies but I also love everything else.
melodyj(at)gmail(dot)com
call me boring, but i still think warm chocolate chip cookies are the most amazing thing ever
Yum! Baked things are definitely my weakness, and my list of favorites is literally endless! But tonight, I would pick chewy ginger cookies. I want one right now.
My favorite are nutella brownies :)
These are too cute!! And brownies would have to be one of my favorites – although I do have a hard time choosing a favorite!!
My favorite baked goods tend to change with the season, but I’d have to say that I always love breads and shortbread cookies. And by the way, I tried dipping my favorite brownies in chocolate last year and can attest that chocolate dipped brownies are delicious. Love your blog! Keep it up…
Hmm…my favorite baked is flourless chocolate cake. Definitely the cake I love the most.
This is my first time commenting, but probably the 1000th time at your blog! I check it religiously. I’m so excited about these treats AND the giveaway. I grew up baking from Taste of Home magazine as my mom had a subscription for as long as I could remember. I even submitted a recipe for the cheesecake contest to win the monthly prize: a Kitchen Aid mixer (every 14 yr. old’s dream, right?) My favorite baked good of the season has to be my praline pumpkin pie which, shockingly, I got from Taste of Home magazine :) It really is fantastic. silky smooth pumpkin pie filling poured over caramel-pecan-butter yumminess. It’s fantastic!
Side note: I was already crazy-excited about the cookbook, the giveaway, and of course the brownie recipe…then I saw who submitted the recipe and what do you know? It’s from a woman in Clinton, Iowa…MY hometown! :)
I shared the link on facebook! :)
Taste of Home was one of the first cookbooks I ever got. They have great recipes. Pies and baklava are my favorite baked goods. I’ve been making pies since I was 9 years old. My family has a great recipe for the crust that never fails. I have some greek heritage and baklava has always been my absolute favorite dessert. It’s soooooooo good.
My favorite baked good would have to be cheesecake. So creamy and delicious! :D
Your blog is lovely, and so are your little cakelets!
I shared the link with my friends on facebook.
Well that’s just silly. How can I pick just 1 baked good to love? Some days cookies, some days cinnamon rolls, some days pastries. And now I’m craving chocolate-dipped brownies….

Hi Rosie!
Linda from Call me Cupcake introduced me to your blog and I’ve followed your wonderful work ever since!
When reading this recipe I noticed that the amount of water isn’t correct in ml, I just want to warn to avoid disaster in the kitchen… :)
And if people abroad also has a chance to win, my favorite sweet is apple pie!
Look forward to reading future posts… :)
Macarons! I love the endless flavor combinations, the chewy insides of the cookies and how pretty they look in a box. Brownies take a close second though…. especially when they are still warm out of the oven. :)
Rosie,
I shared on Facebook! :)

Hi Rosie ~ wow. Hard to pick a favorite but I would say anything with peanut butter in it. Lots of peanut butter!
Hi Rosie, Beautiful, as always. I think I have to bake these gorgeouse Brownies with my little 3yr old son. I think my favourite is freshly baked warm banana muffins served with a great cup of coffee. Very simple but so delicious. Please may I ask what camera you use too? Thank you. God bless xoxo
Pardon my spelling :s I forgot to proof read :s xoxo
Cookies are by far my favorite!
Love your blog. I read it every day and am amazed at your talent! What do you do with all the goodies you bake? I know y’all don’t eat them all. My favorite baked goodies are brownies and peanut butter cookies. Thanks for a great blog.

Definitely my favorite baked treat are cucidati, Italian fig cookies. I used to make them with my Grandma when I was little and they’re just amazing! A close second are macarons since I’m way on that bandwagon.
Those brownies look uber cute! (just like Neve!) My favorite baked good is a fresh chocolatine, sweet, fluffy pastry enveloping a sliver of dark chocolate always hits the spot.
My current favorite baked good is chocolate chess pie, or Mississippi mud cake, or brownies, or molasses cookies. Okay, so I don’t have a “favourite”!
I love cake.. especially chocolate with buttercream frosting.. But when fall rolls around it’s all apple crumbles and berry pies around here!
Can’t wait to try it with my little one.
my favorite baked good is brownies. Anyway, anyhow!
WOW these look so so yummy! Brownies always just HIT-THE-SPOT!
All things pumpkin right now – pies, breads, cakes, you name it I love it.
I know this will be a popular answer as it is the season – but honestly, pumpkin pie is my all time favorite baked good! If it was acceptable to eat all year round, I would…smothered in cool whip. MMMMMmmmm!
Thanks for the giveaway!
It is difficult to choose a favourite baked good… but I’m going to say carrot cake!
These look delicious!! I would have to say that my favorite baked treat is key lime pie, bars, or anything related. I have a weakness for all things lemon and lime!!!

Right now, my favorite baked good are apple cider donuts. They’re just perfect for this time of year. :)
Yellow cake with lots of vanilla buttercream.
And also shared the post on facebook!
It is a big decision and silly decision at the same time. I would have to say Rice Krispies squares. I can’t eat just one or two. Does that even count as a baked good?
Ok if not, then peanut butter cookies.
My favorite baked good are my moms butter cookies – She only makes them at Christmas and they are the BEST thing and with only 4 ingredients – super easy to make! I’m also a fan of your fluffy vanilla cake. I’ve made in twice in the last two weeks :)
I love fluffy vanilla cake with chocolate fudge frosting.
i love oatmeal raisin cookies with walnuts :)
currently, my favorite are these cappuccino cookies dipped in dark chocolate. yum!
These brownies look wonderful and your “Sprinkle Sprinkler” is adorable! My favorite treat is just a good old chocolate chip cookie. If it’s thick and chewy on the inside with chocolate chips still melted, it makes me even happier. Thanks for the opportunity, I would love to have this cookbook!
My favorite baked good is a cupcake. I’ve developed a method for eating a cupcake, people think I’m weird but it works for me.

My favourite baked good……Until a week ago, it would have been impossible to decide. But for my 21st birthday i made your lemon and blueberry cake and it was amazing!!! Everyone loved it so thank you very much. Anything with lemon in wins with me and I love blueberry so putting them together was genius and a bit like heaven – I swear it was all i ate for 2 days….
Oh, and as my friends are massive brownie eaters, I let them all know on facebook
It’s hard to choose a favorite baked good, but right now, I’d definitely say it’s a tie between brownies and pumpkin chocolate chip bread.

My new favorite baked goods are pumpkin cinnamon rolls. They’re deadly!
I would have to say that my favourite baked good is probably cheesecake. However, after making your chocolate espresso bundt cake with chocolate glaze for both my in-laws as well as my own family for thanksgiving. I may have a new favourite. It was melt in your mouth delicious.
My favorite baked good is coconut cake. I’m a sucker for anything coconut.
I absolutely love this post! So much so that I’ve substituted this recipe for my usual brownie recipe in all my baking today! Perfect gift for a hostess! As for my favorite baked good… anything! My grandmother’s carrot cake with cream cheese icing or coconut cake with chocolate icing comes to mind first though! And who doesn’t love a classic chocolate chip cookie?! Mmmm!
I’m a sucker for a soft pretzel but really, my sweet tooth trumps anything. I tend towards moist goods, so I love cake but my current favorite is bread pudding. Cute brownies you’ve got there to go along with your cutie-pie daughter!

Chocolate Cake forever!
Pretty much anything with chocolate will do but one of my favs right now is chocolate hazelnut cake with nutella mascarpone frosting. YUM! Love your blog!
I make lots of fancy things with all kinds of interesting flavor blends, but deep down, I am a chocolate purist. My favorite baked good is my mom’s one-bowl chocolate cake with homemade chocolate buttercream frosting. Preferably with a scoop of Blue Bell (a Texas brand) ice cream on the side.
Heather, now I’m hungry for some chocolate cake and Blue Bell!
I love baking, but I have to say that my favorite sweet treat is when I put the chocolate chip cookie dough into a 9×13 cake pan and make cookie-brownies! Soft in the middle with a crunchy edge, they are so delicious!
So many to choose from!! Black and White cookies, carrot cake, warm fudgy brownies….
Madeleines, of course! Or maybe sandbakkels. Or spritz. Or fruit pie. Or whoopie pies. Or all the aformentioned, combined into one frighteningly sweet dessert:)

My favorite baked good right now is probably chocolate meringue pie. Or, cookies that I didn’t have to bake :D (I hate making cookies for some reason.) I adore pretty much any kind of sweet, especially those that are homemade! But, I think my favorites would either be Rhubarb Pie or something with pumpkin and cream cheese in it…perhaps a pumpkin/cream cheese roll cake!
My favorite baked good is cake, big cake or cupcake, with delicious icing. I have had a love of cake from the youngest age. Baking them is almost as good as eating them! ;-)
My favorite baked goods are Danish. Pretty much anything pastry related is my biggest downfall.
I am glutin sensitive so I make a great old fashion coconut cake with cream cheese frosing using a Betty Crocker Gluetin free yellow cake mix. I have always been grateful to Betty but now more than ever.
Oh. My. Goodness! Chocolate covered brownies?! Are you kidding me!? LOVE IT! Can’t wait to try. Brownies are definitely my favorite baked good. I could eat the entire pan all by myself. In a day. Seriously :)

I have to pick just one? Alright, then … cookies, ’cause they come in some many varieties. :)
And I’m off to tweet about this, too…
… Tweeted! :)
I am going to have to make these soon! I would have to say my favorite is a fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookie though :)
I will have to show my 12 year old daughter this post because she loves to bake and would LOVE to have this book and try the recipes. She’s been going through my books getting recipes. She’s even begun to post some of her baked goods on her blog: http://myblythedollsarepretty.blogspot.com under the cooking category. She has a picture of some brownies she made and they were amazing,so my fave baked good would be homemade brownies and we have to try these that you posted, too!
My favourite dessert would have to be creme brûlée! Every time I have it, I’m always reminded of my honeymoon in Paris. I make mine with vanilla bean and a touch of grand mariner…c’est bon!
Thanks for sharing your recipes Rosie! I’ve tried a few of them with great success!
My favorite baked good are these half moon cookie things that Wegman’s makes. Only available during a half moon, but worth it. Even if I don’t win, I’ll probably go get this book!
Generally, lemon bars; from your blog, the lemon blueberry cake!
I would have to say vanilla cake of practically any kind. My mum’s Hot Milk Cake comes to mind – I’m super curious to see if the one in the book is like my mum’s.
And I have tweeted the link as well!

Rosie! Thanks for this giveaway. Those brownies look soooo chocolate-y… just what I need right now. My favorite sweet treat are SCONES (I’m surprised they haven’t become more popular… although I guess they’re just not as cute as a cupcake.)

If I had to pick just one, I would choose chocolate chip skor bit cookies warm from the oven.
My favorite dessert treat? Tiramisu….I’ve never found the recipe for the ‘perfect’ one….but I’ll keep searching and testing, yum!
Those brownies look amazing. Something about the sprinkles make them look so festive. I would have to say that my favorite baked good is a good old fashioned chocolate chip cookie.
My favorite baked good has always been a tart rhubarb pie made originally by my Grandmother, and now by my mother who seriously makes the best pies. Do not add strawberries, do not add extra sugar. Just let the homegrown rhubarb shine.
I’ve been following your blog for a few months now and am in love! I made my first cake a few weeks ago for my son’s first birthday, we used your recipes for the chocolate & vanilla layers in his 3 layer cake (probably a bit overkill for a 1 year birthday), it turned out great. So this past week, after seeing your Salted Carmel Chocolate cake with Chocolate Fudge Icing I decided to try my hand. After working on it for 2 evenings straight after work I finished and we dug in… it was delicious!!! I have to say right now that is my favorite and I’m going to try to make 1 desert or cake once a week from now on. Keep up the great blog, I enjoy reading and learning and my husband & son enjoy the tasting!
My favorite baked good is either chocolate chip cookies or my mom’s strawberry rhubarb pie!
This is a hard question to answer. I guess today I would say my favorite baked good is really good rich chocolatey, gooey, dense brownies with chunks of chocolate and nuts added.
My favourite thing to bake is any type cake and sugar cookies. I enjoy being able to decorate them, I think the decorating is actually my favourite part.

Hi Rosanne, Your website is wonderful. You have inspired me to start to bake again. I recently just purchased my first KitchenAid mixer and I will try out one of your recipes. I am thinking of making the Fairy cupcakes.
My favorite baked goodies is French silk pie. My mom knew it was my favorite and would surprise me with it on the most random of days… She would always leave it sitting on the kitchen table for me to find when i got home from school :) I always cut a slice to enjoy with my homework… the only days i wouldnt get in trouble for eating sweets before dinner. I look forward to continuing with the tradition once my kids are older.
Mmmm. So hard to pick! For all time favorite, I’d have to say the Disgustingly Rich Brownies from the Klutz kids cookbook.
Brownies for sure! This recipe is next on my list to make!
I absolutely love sweets!!!!! Not gonna lie, there have been days when sweets were the only thing i ate all day!!! ;) So to ask me to pick one from ALL the many that I like is pretty hard…but when it comes down to it, I think my favorite sweet treat is a great big piece of delicious chocolate cake with chocolate icing!!! Mmmnnn!!! :)
